Jossane's Bday party pics

Hi Everyone,
It's Day 6 in PI and we're still going strong. Jossane is coping with us but her frustration comes out every once in a awhile. She is a very happy baby and is getting lots of attention through us and all of Joyce's relatives. Its not as hot or humid the last 2 days as it has been but I have been able to wear shorts most of the time anyway so all is good. We have tried twice to take Jossane to the pool at the condo only to be thwarted by private parties both times. We will try later tonight or this week. We are at Joyce's Aunt's home and are eating pizza and egg rolls and relaxing.

Hi Everyone,
Sorry for the lack of details so far...we forgot to factor in that the orphanage probably doesn't have have WiFi. So we're at an internet cafe in the mall of the condo complex we're staying at. Here's what we have done so far...
Day 1 - arrival into Manila at 8pm and we were welcomed by my Auntie Mimi, Uncle Tony, Uncle Renato and Cousins Jehan, Joji, Maa and Renz. Went to the condo and were also greeted by Lola Lucy and Cousins JR and Daniel Ray. Dined on KFC, Yellow Cab pizza and pasta. YUM!!!
Day 2 - Che, Social Worker, picked us up at 8am (she was an hour early!) to take us to Sun and Moon home for Children. After an hour and half in traffic (should have been 25 min drive) we got there. Jossane was in the middle of a bath when we met her. She is so cute!!! She has a full head of hair and huge brown eyes!!! She took to us both right away because she loves loves loves to be held. But she was definitely trying to size us up and figure out what we were doing there with her. By mid afternoon she was getting ancy with us. Her caregivers called Ates (filipino for big sister) said that she's very social and likes to play with the other children. So we went up to see the other children and she was so happy.
Day 3 - Thanks to my cuz, Joji, Jossane's Big Birthday Party was fun but really hot! My aunt and cousins attended the party at the orphanage. It was catered by Jolliibee and The Jollibee mascot showed up and did a little program. Josanne was not a fan of Jollibee but all the other toddlers were outside enjoying it. All in all it was fun.
Day 4 - Our first day with Jossane in the condo was interesting. It was a battle of wills at meal time, nap time and bed time:( Other than that, it's been fun to be with her. She's into imitating faces and loves Twinkle Twinkle song and knows all the motions. (Which we did not know the words to, let alone the "motions".) Thanks to cousins Maa and Renz, we can now sing it and act it:) It's not pretty but Josie loves it:)
That's it for now. We forgot to pack the camera in the diaper bag on the wasy to this cafe. So no pics to upoad right now. Sorry! Who knew all the stuff you needed to pack in the diaper bag? !!!

The day before we leave
Family and friends...Joyce and I will try and keep everyone updated on our trip to pick up the newest member of our family...Jossane. We are both very excited and nervous. I am surprised we only have 2 suitcases and 2 boxes to check at the airport.....wish us luck. Jeff & Joyce
